Organizing a scientific day on the ethics of scientific research
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fathallah Shawqi, Dean of the College, and Prof. Dr. Mazen Attia, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Ahmed Arafa, Director of the Continuing Education Unit, a scientific day was organized entitled "? Do you need clinical research or research only" on Sunday, 3/3/2024, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maha Abdel Qawi, Chairman of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry - Beni Suef University, and Dr. Amr Shubita, the researcher at the Oral and Dental Research Institute, a member of the Medical Research Ethics Committee at the National Research Center, a certified trainer in research ethics, University of Maryland, United States of America, and a certified instructor in ethics, UNESCO, lectured in it
The day's activities began with holding a closed meeting in the Ethics Committee in the presence of the Dean of the College to ensure that the Committee is proceeding on the correct foundations and to talk about obstacles and difficulties and how to overcome them. Then a lecture was held with members of the teaching staff, the supporting staff, and representatives of the College, in addition to graduate students, and the spotlight was shed on research methods and clinical research in the field of dentistry
