Implementing a live evacuation plan at the College of Dentistry

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, a successful trial of the College of Dentistry evacuation plan was implemented on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. . Ahmed Fathallah Shawqi and Prof. Dr. Mazen Ahmed Attia, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Shamaa, Director of the Crisis and Disaster Committee. The evacuation was carried out successfully in a record time of 7 minutes Without any injuries. Faculty members, supporting staff, staff and students participated in the process, in addition to patients receiving treatment in educational clinics
The Dean of the College expressed the importance of repeating the evacuation experience from time to time, with the aim of teaching students and employees how to manage crises and act in emergency situations, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of the facility. Dr.  Muhammad Al-Shamaa said that the evacuation process took place very quickly, and individuals were directed through the emergency exits which  located on all roads and at the emergency doors, according to the existing guidance signs With the aim of heading to the specific assembly points that were announced by guidance signs, in order to preserve the safety of lives and college property. The professor  Dr/. Mazen Attia praised the experience and its success, and emphasized its distinctive impact on students and employees. He added that an approved plan to evacuate the college was prepared and distributed to all individuals to raise awareness of evacuation procedures and how to act in emergency situations such as fires, earthquakes, and the collapse of parts of the building that pose a threat to life and college property.
